Hello and welcome to Imagine: NY Schools!  As the Executive Director of Education Voters Institute of New York I’m thrilled to be able to launch this project and get people talking about what our public schools need.

An acre of words have been written on the subject of what’s wrong with our schools.  I want us to talk about how to make them better.

There’s no question we are moving towards a “knowledge economy” in this century, and a good education is going to be an essential tool for success.  How can we make New York City schools the kind of launch pad our kids will need to participate in that economy?
